Brazil Girls' Voices Initiative

Rise Up is thrilled to launch our Girls’ Voices Initiative in Brazil! We are requesting proposals for a partner organization in São Paulo State to amplify the voices and power of girl leaders in São Paulo State through an intensive capacity-building program in policy-maker education, storytelling, and strategic communications campaigns using our Girls' Voices Curriculum. Rise Up’s Girls' Voices Initiative is creating a pipeline of girl leaders who will raise their voices to advocate for social justice, education, opportunity, and equity in their countries.

Rise Up will select a partner organization to recruit and select 55-60 girl leaders ages 13-18 to participate in this intensive program in and around São Paulo State from January through September 2020. The selected partner organization must be legally registered in Brazil and must have the ability to accept international wire transfers. They also must have a strong track record of engaging girl leaders and a desire to expand existing girl programming in collaboration with Rise Up.

The selected partner will join the launch of this important initiative in Brazil, alongside partners in Mexico, Nigeria, and India, to enable girls to become agents of change in their own communities and learn to effectively speak out for their right to stay healthy, finish school, live safe from violence, and say no to child marriage.
