RISE UP INITIATIVES
Our global network of leaders and allies advance girls’ and women’s rights, equality, education, sexual and reproductive health and justice, and economic empowerment. Through a range of innovative programs, we invest in emerging leaders and local solutions, and partner with global and in-country organizations to leverage collective resources for expanded and sustainable impact.
Our GIRLS EMPOWERMENT programs ensure that girls can finish school, stay healthy, overcome violence, and delay early child marriage. We lift up girls as powerful leaders and advocates to drive policy change impacting nearly 40 million girls in Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, and South Asia.
Our YOUTH DEVELOPMENT programs invest in emerging leaders ages 18-30 who are using technology, innovation, and advocacy to improve sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice in East Africa, South Asia, and the United States.
Our SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP programs enable visionary civil society leaders to strengthen their organizations and advance national-scale impact for girls and women through advocacy for education, equity, health, and social justice in Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, and South Asia.
Our WOMEN’S HEALTH programs invest in civil society leaders and organizations to combat non-communicable diseases and strengthen reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health outcomes, impacting 67 million lives in Nigeria and Kenya.
Our ECONOMIC JUSTICE programs increase the economic power of girls and women in India by using a collective impact model and digital platform to drive policy change through advocacy and leadership development.
Rise Up unifies the power of Let Girls Lead, the Youth Champions Initiative, and Champions for Change to benefit 115 million girls, youth, and women globally. These initiatives all leverage our proven model for enabling visionary leaders and local organizations to lead large-scale change that improves the lives of girls and women. We advance exponential change by strengthening leadership, investing in local solutions, and building movements.
