Norma Uhuru Mbele is a community leader and activist reshaping the narrative around poor and marginalized communities. As Founder of Tosunga Baninga, she leads rights education programs for women and girls, using exhibitions, dialogue, and film to spark action. A survivor of injustice herself, Norma is committed to driving change at the grassroots level and has been honored by LOPPECO and the Premier of Gauteng for her contributions. Norma brings deep experience in community media and advocacy, having helped secure a broadcasting license for Thetha FM. She also leads strategic partnerships and organizational development for Tosunga Baninga, building a culture of empowerment, accountability, and social justice.
