ENGAGE Project Coordinator, Malawi (Consultant)
Patricia is a Rise Up consultant serving as the Project Coordinator for the Enabling Girls to Advance Gender Equality (ENGAGE) project in Malawi. As the Project Coordinator, Patricia is the focal point for Rise Up’s ENGAGE activities in Malawi and the main contact for ENGAGE champion organizations. She started out her career as a teacher in rural Malawi, where she mentored and supported girls to excel in their academics and acted as a role model. Most recently, she worked as a project coordinator for a sanitation project where she was involved in the promotion of sanitation including Menstrual Hygiene Management in communities and schools. She has over 8 years of experience working with young people and communities in addressing development issues that affect them, especially in relation to education and health. Patricia holds a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College.
