Program Assistant

With more than five years of experience in the development and humanitarian sector, Rahila specializes in women and child advocacy, community engagement, and maternal and child health programming. Previously, Rahila worked on a World Food Program-funded project in Northeast Nigeria, an E.U. project, and she has actively engaged with The World’s Largest Lesson, an organization that promotes the use of SDGs in learning.

Rahila is passionate about the girl-child and has voluntarily supported the Girl, not Bride Consortium project. She has also collaborated with other stakeholders to train and work with 57 traditional birth attendants in five area councils of the Nigerian Federal Capital Territory in ensuring that harmful traditional birth practices are abolished in these communities and childcare delivery is improved.

She has a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Bayero University Kano, and a certificate from Harvard edX in Child Protection in Theory and Practice, Human Rights Base Approach MSTD Arusha, Kenya.
