Naomi Nyaboke Monda

Program Coordinator, Kenya

Naomi Nyaboke Monda is Rise Up’s Kenya Program Coordinator based in Nairobi. She will help launch and expand Rise Up’s programming in Kenya to advance gender equity and justice. She brings extensive experience in sexual and reproductive health rights, gender, child safeguarding, women and youth empowerment, violence against women and girls, and HIV/AIDS.

Naomi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Moi University and a Master’s Degree in Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi. With previous experience at Kindernothilfe, Kenya Legal and Ethical Issues Network on HIV and AIDS (KELIN), Coalition on Violence Against Women (COVAW) and CARE International in Kenya, Naomi successfully implemented projects championing adolescent sexual and reproductive health and addressing gender inequalities that are sustained by social norms and cultural practices. When not at work, Naomi enjoys cooking, exploring nature, and spending time with her family and friends.
