Executive Director, Pastoralist Journalists Network – Kenya

Abjata Khalif is an award-winning journalist and the Executive Director of Pastoralist Journalists Network – Kenya, a regional nonprofit media organization. Through Pastoralist’s offices in Nairobi and other northern Kenya counties, the network uses community media, community radio listening group sessions, community radio feedback sessions, radio focus group discussions and offers engagement platforms to communities and other vulnerable and marginalized groups.

Abjata Khalif is a founding member of the Pastoralist Journalists Network and holds a Bachelor’s degree in communication, with a diploma in development studies. He has more than ten years work experience in both the media and community development spheres, and has shown great passion in advancing the rights of women, refugees, and other marginalized groups in Kenya.
