Director of Youth Engagement and Advocacy, Teen Health Mississippi | United States
Alexis Hicks is an emerging social justice advocate and community organizer. In her current role, she meaningfully engages and partners with youth across the state of Mississippi to inform and support Teen Health Mississippi’s sexual and reproductive health and rights work; build youth advocacy and organizing skills; and provide youth with the knowledge, skills, and resources to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health. Alexis is especially dedicated to improving the lives of minority youth through policy reform, trauma-informed practices, and community engagement. Alexis holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Mississippi and a Master’s degree in social justice and criminology from Delta State University.
