Communications and Marketing Manager
Alyah has more than 12 years of experience in the advocacy, nonprofit, and journalism sectors. Previously, Alyah directed advocacy and political campaigns for Planned Parenthood in Texas and led communications at one of the state’s largest affordable housing nonprofits. She holds a Bachelor’s in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Master’s in International Media with a focus on maternal health and family planning from American University in Washington, D.C. As Communications and Marketing Manager, Alyah works closely with program, development and communications staff to execute a communications strategy and strengthen the organization’s brand across various channels. She also oversees digital communications, strategic partnerships and marketing and the growth of the communications team.
Alyah is a first-generation American who is deeply committed to advancing the health and rights of girls and women around the world. She believes in the power of people to build community and find innovative solutions to the problems they face. In her free time, Alyah loves to write, read, listen to live music and spend as much time as possible exploring the outdoors with her dog.
