Amaka Narah Enemo
Passion and Concern for Women Welfare and Empowerment Initiative (PACOWWEI)
Amaka is the national coordinator of Nigeria Sex Workers Association (NSWA) and the Executive Director of PACOWWEI, a female sex-worker community-based organization. As a passionate advocate, Amaka advocates on a number of key issues, including for the inclusion of Pre-Exposure Prophalaxis (PrEP) in Nigeria’s National treatment guidelines and was an AIDS Vaccine Advocacy Coalition (AVAC) Advocacy Fellow in 2016. Her passion for advocating for the rights of vulnerable groups and her own personal story as a former sex worker drives her to empower the sex worker population to share their experiences and advocate for their basic human rights on both international and national platforms.
