Amisa Rashid Ahmed is a multi-award-winning mental health practitioner, neuropsychologist, and the Founder of Nivishe Foundation, delivering culturally sensitive mental health care to marginalized communities. A neurodiverse leader from Kenya’s Nubian community, Amisa is known for pioneering innovations like AmisaGPT, a Swahili-language AI mental health chatbot. She has been recognized as one of Kenya’s Top 40 Under 40 Women (2024) and one of the 100 Most Influential Young Africans (2021, 2023). Amisa serves on numerous boards and advisory committees and is a Fellow of Echoing Green, Salzburg Global Seminar, and WomenLift Health. Her work centers lived experiences and builds inclusive, gender-responsive systems of care.
