Ayesha Amin

Founder and CEO, Baithak – Challenging Taboos | Pakistan

Ayesha Amin is a gender justice and sexual and reproductive health and rights advocate with 10 years of experience leading social impact projects. As the founder of Baithak – Challenging Taboos, she is advocating for gender justice across Pakistan and empowering girls and women to exercise their bodily autonomy. Most of her advocacy is around social taboos that affect women’s health and well-being, such as access to menstrual hygiene products, gender-based violence prevention, and women’s access to their sexual and reproductive health. Ayesha is a Fulbright Scholar with a Master’s degree in social policy from the University of Pennsylvania. She is also an Acumen Fellow and a Community Engagement Exchange Program Specialist, an IREX leadership development program. Ayesha has been recognized for her work by multiple international organizations including IREX, the U.S. Department of State, the Asia Foundation, Westerwelle Foundation, and DKG International.
