Carmen coordinates gender issues for the Cross-Sectional Health Program of the Guatemalan Ministry of Public Health and Social Assistance (MSPAS). She has Master’s Degree in Public Health with an emphasis on gender; a Dental Surgeon qualification from the University of San Carlos; and a degree in I.T. and Communication Sciences in Public Health and Public Administration from the Francisco Marroquín University in Guatemala.
