The Center for Girls Education  (CGE) is a girls’ education practice and learning hub focused on improving access and quality of schooling and vocational training for rural and low-income urban girls in northern Nigeria.  Since 2007, CGE has helped girls across the region stay in school, delay marriage, and acquire life skills and livelihoods through educational programs tailored to the needs of each segment of the girl population. CGE has been a pioneer in the adaptation of the safe space methodology to girls’ need for strengthened core academic competencies, vocational training, and mentored support. The organization is a woman led and staffed Civil Society Organization.
