CEO, Fantsuam Foundation | Nigeria
Comfort Kazanka is a community development worker and founding member of the rural-based organization Fantsuam Foundation Nigeria. As the CEO, Comfort represents the management team on the Board of Directors and is responsible for implementing the decisions of the board. She additionally chairs the implementation team, a membership of five heads of programs, and receives reports from the project management team of ongoing projects, their progress, and current challenges. She also supervises the annual workplan and budget development of each program, ensuring it meets the policy guidelines as approved by the Board of Trustees.
Comfort’s interest in social justice is to see the inclusion and peaceful coexistence of women at the community, state, and national level.
Comfort is a teacher by training, but over the years her passion in development work has helped her acquire skills on setting up microfinance institutions (MFI), village savings, and loan associations in rural communities of Kaduna State.
