Director of Equity Justice, Public Health Advocates

DeAngelo is an advocate for the most marginalized communities. Currently, he works to strengthen his organization’s mission on equity internally and externally. For over two decades, DeAngelo has worked tirelessly to illuminate the vast disproportionate disparities experienced by Black and people of color. As a national leader in identifying both racism and violence as a public health crisis, he has helped to pass legislation at the local and state level that supports this cause. DeAngelo serves as a Senior Advisor to the Health Alliance for Violence Intervention and The American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. He is also an actor, playwright, and former youth pastor.
