Debashree Mishra

Program Manager, Kalamandir, The Celluloid Chapter Art Foundation

Debashree Mishra is a community mobilizer in the gender equity and child rights advocacy fields. She is a Program Manager at Kalamandir and works to develop comprehensive program strategies to protect children’s rights and gender equity by activating government and legal support systems. Debashree’s active commitments at Kalamandir focus on gender equality related to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 5.3, which seeks to eliminate forced marriages and genital mutilation and SDG 16.2, which aims to end abuse, exploitation, trafficking, and all forms of violence against children.

Debashree has been working in the social sector for the past 18 years and has field experience in the preservation and promotion of tribal art, culture and craft. She holds a bachelor of commerce from Ranchi University and a postgraduate diploma in rural development.
