Deepa works to advance the rights of women and children in low-income communities of Delhi. She has been a strong advocate for the sexual and reproductive health rights of women for more than 20 years now. She mobilizes women and girls in community-based groups, training and enabling them to raise their voices and advocate for their own needs and concerns. Deepa has a dual master’s degree in child development and human resource development. She believes that building the leadership and agency of women and girls is the key to challenging patriarchal structures and developing a more equitable society.
