Senior Manager, Prayas Juvenile Aid Centre (JAC) Society | India
Deepshikha is a social work professional with a focus on gender-based violence and child protection. In her current role as Senior Manager at Prayas Institute of Juvenile Justice, an apex body of Prayas Juvenile Aid Centre (JAC) Society, she leads the Prayas Child Protection Unit, including Prayas Children Home for Girls and is dedicated to preventing and responding to gender-based violence with a particular interest in advancing social justice, education, equity, and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).
By leading the Prayas Child Protection Unit, she ensures that vulnerable children, women, and youth receive the protection they need while also creating a platform for them to develop their potential and live a life of dignity. Deepshikha holds a Master of Philosophy in Federal Studies and a Masters in Social Work, and also works towards policy changes through stakeholder engagement and advocacy.
