Dr. Charles Omwanza is a distinguished scholar, educator, researcher, and program management expert with a strong commitment to advancing social justice, education, and equity by creating inclusive and sustainable systems that empower women, girls, and gender non-conforming people to thrive. With over 14 years of experience, he has led transformative work in research, capacity building and training, curriculum design and implementation support, policy advocacy, and educational management. He holds a PhD in Finance, an MBA (Finance), and a Bachelor of Education (Business and Mathematics). Dr. Omwanza has served in several technical working groups within the Ministry of Education, contributing to gender policy formulation, curriculum reforms, and the development of effective institutional and instructional leadership in Kenya’s education sector. He has published widely, thereby significantly contributing to scholarship in education equity, financing, climate, and governance. His professional skills extend to strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), stakeholder engagement, and organizational development.
