Editar Ochieng is an unapologetic and proud feminist, peace activist, and human rights defender committed to the advancement of women’s rights and social justice in Kenya. As the founder of the Feminist for Peace, Rights and Justice Centre (FPRJC), located in the heart of Kibera, Nairobi, Editar has dedicated her life to creating a society where every woman and girl can live with dignity, freedom, and full access to her rights. Her work ensures that survivors of violence – particularly those leaving abusive relationships – are not alone. FPRJC provides a lifeline through psychosocial support, economic empowerment, and collective healing.

Editar has also been a vocal and fearless advocate in the fight against femicide in Kenya. Her activism has led to public dialogues, policy conversations, and urgent calls for justice and accountability. Editar has received numerous honors, including the 2022 Activist of the Year by Africans Rising and recognition among the 100 Most Influential People in Gender Policy. Her work centers storytelling, collective care, and dismantling patriarchal systems.
