Elshaday Mekasha Kassaye is a medical student and community activist who is passionate about gender equality, women’s empowerment, and raising awareness about sexual and reproductive health. She is a youth leader and trainer for project SHEBA (Sexual Health Education for Better Awareness) where she delivers training on sexual and reproductive health education to high school students in Addis Ababa. She has also volunteered as a youth trainer for SHE (Sexual Health Education) Matters, a project that advocated to end early marriage in the rural East Gojam Amhara region. Elshaday has served as vice president of a standing committee on public health of EMSA and has been part of public health awareness campaigns.
