Executive Director/Programme Coordinator, Beacon Youth Initiative (BYI)

Envoh Emmanuel Okolo is the Executive Director/Programme Coordinator at Beacon Youth Initiative (BYI) in Nasarawa State, Nigeria and has over 15 years of progressive experience in the developmental sector and nonprofit leadership. His work has focused on sexual and reproductive health and rights, social justice, climate justice, health system strengthening, leadership/governance, advocacy driven initiatives, policy influencing, and gender-based violence.

Emmanuel has held many leadership positions at the sub-national, national, and African sub-continent levels including State Coordinator at the Nasarawa State Network on Environment and Climate Justice, State Secretary at the Civil Society Scaling Up Nutrition, Steering National Committee Chairman at the Civil Society Network Hepatitis, and Steering Committee Chairman at the African Hepatitis Alliance.

Over the years, Emmanuel has worked with women, young girls, youth, and persons with disabilities who are disproportionately impacted or vulnerable by empowering them to achieve sustainable change and enjoy their quality of life.
