Erika Noyola

Program Coordinator, Mexico

Erika Noyola holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the State University of San Luis Potosí and a master’s degree in Gender Studies and Citizenship with a specialization in Labor and Public Policies from the University of Barcelona, Spain. Erika began her professional career working with legal teams dedicated to strategic litigation and the defense of Human Rights and gender-based violence. She also developed projects with the Federal Government of Mexico and private consultancies on regulatory improvement. Later, Erika had the opportunity to work with nonprofit organizations focused on human rights issues, first in a shelter for women, adolescents, girls, and boys who experienced gender-based violence. Erika then she successfully coordinated and managed projects focused on labor inclusion of persons with disabilities, and finally, she participated in political advocacy for women with disabilities.

As Program Coordinator for Rise Up in Mexico, Erika provides technical assistance for leaders and their advocacy projects, advancing justice, equity, and greater opportunities for women, girls, and gender-nonconforming people across the country.

In her free time, Erika enjoys reading, eating, playing with her dog, and spending time with her friends and family.
