Fátima Velázquez Romo holds a degree in Public Administration and is a community manager and women’s rights advocate. She is part of the team coordinating the operation of a Transitional Housing facility in San Luis Potosí, ensuring dignified, safe, and functional conditions for the social and professional integration of women, girls, and LGBTQ+ people in situations of human mobility, particularly refugees. Her commitment to social justice is grounded in her direct work with communities affected by violence, displacement, and structural exclusion.
Fátima works to strengthen community and advocacy processes that guarantee access to education, health, human rights, and economic opportunities. In 2025, she participated in the First Young Women’s Parliament of the Congress of the State of San Luis Potosí, presenting a legislative proposal to strengthen women’s leadership and political participation at the local level.
