Gayatri’s work combines her commitment to youth, women and sexual and reproductive health and rights. She is an editor and video coordinator at Love Matters.in – the first website to provide young Indians with information about love, sex, and relationships in Hindi. Gayatri is also a freelance journalist reporting on war and conflict – she has previously reported on conflicts in India, Burma, Syria, and Iraq. She is currently a German Chancellor Fellow based in Berlin. She is an Erasmus Mundus scholar in journalism and holds a bachelor’s degree in mass media from the University of Mumbai.

The goal of this project is to assess whether WhatsApp – a mobile instant messaging app – is a feasible way to deliver SRHR information to young people in India. The service is part of Love Matters – a blush-free information website on sex and relationships for young adults in India.
