Program Coordinator, Safe Access | India

Gautam Ram Chandra is a young community activist, organizer, and mobilizer. In his current role as a program coordinator at Safe Access, he trains and builds awareness among queer affirmative healthcare providers and also serves the community as a peer support provider. Peer support providers are equipped with perspective, knowledge, and skills to offer emotional and psychosocial support to community members. Gautam is a passionate advocate for the rights of queer-trans* communities around equitable healthcare access and sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice (SRHRJ) in India. Gautam was a Safe Access Fellow in 2019 during which time he built his skills in advocacy, community education, and SRHRJ.
