EQUIS, Justicia para las Mujeres (Justice for Women)

Isabel is a lawyer with significant experience in public policy, advocacy, and research and is dedicated to defending the rights of incarcerated women. She is a feminist who has done work and research on gender studies and has dedicated most of her professional life to defending the human rights of vulnerable women. She has a master’s degree in international human rights with an emphasis on the challenges women face in the criminal justice system as a result of Mexico’s drugs policies.
