Ivonne founded Centro para el Desarrollo Integral de la Mujer, A.C., in 2004 to prevent and eliminate violence towards girls, adolescents, and women, after being inspired by a close-to-home experience. Ivonne has ample experience working with families of victims of femicide in Ciudad Juarez. She has participated in the Inter-American Human Rights System as a representative for victims of gender violence. She has diplomas in access to justice, human rights, and public policies with a gender perspective.
