James is the SRH Coordinator at LIYO. Since 2001, LIYO has partnered with national, district and local government, traditional and religious leaders to promote SRH awareness in Zomba and Thyolo. As the Youth and SRH Coordinator, James works with youth groups from Zomba, Machinga, and Thyolo, targeting girls and women from all walks of life to talk about SRH issues, SRHR and economic independence. He is also a board member of the African Union Youth Advisory Board, member of Activists National Youth Network of Malawi and a consultant in Youth Development and SRH. He devotes his time to advocacy work around SRHR, the reduction of gender-based violence and the promotion of disability rights in his community.
