Founder and Executive Director, The Basileia Vulnerable Persons Rights Initiative | Nigeria
Jennifer Agbaji is a lawyer and humanitarian actor from Kaduna State, Nigeria. She is the founder and executive director of the Basileia Vulnerable Persons Rights Initiative, which engages and empowers vulnerable persons, especially women and girls, to live socially, economically fulfilled lives. Through the initiative’s GirLead Innovation Fellowship, girls gain access to education through online courses, webinars, and other resources. Jennifer also works with women and girls at internally displaced camps and mentors girls with disabilities.
Jennifer is an alumni of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) and North East Social Innovation Fellowship. She serves in several leadership capacities including the National Female coordinator, New Nigeria Movement, commissioner for Gender, Agriculture and Rural Development with Africa Youth Commission and Focal Person Kaduna State Association Against Child Sexual and Gender Based violence, and other coalitions of NGOs. Jennifer is a member of Education in Crisis and Conflict Network (ECCN) and is a trained facilitator.
