Director of Strategic Partnerships

Jennifer N. Broome, MA, CFRE, leads Rise Up Together’s fundraising and communications teams. She engages new partners and audiences to grow our reach and impact and develops meaningful relationships with partners to champion our movement for gender equity in education, health, and economic opportunity.

Jennifer has served in senior leadership roles and led fundraising efforts for several organizations with social justice, higher education, environmental sustainability, disaster relief, and international security missions, and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Madagascar.

With a master’s degree from Indiana University’s Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, Jennifer believes that philanthropy can have a transformational impact, generate optimism in the face of cynicism, provide solutions to intractable societal problems, and counterbalance forces that divide communities. She enjoys the process of “matchmaking” a donor’s passion with an organization’s vision and takes pride in enabling the generosity of funders which makes possible lasting social change.

She is actively involved in the Association of Fundraising Professionals and volunteers with several nonprofits in the Washington D.C. metro area, where she resides. She is an avid traveler, a voracious reader, and a lover of the outdoors. She speaks fluent French and enjoys the arts, history, hiking, kayaking, and jigsaw puzzles.
