A former foster youth and strong advocate for reproductive rights and justice, Jo values sexual and reproductive health as a means of giving a voice to herself and other foster youth. She is currently working towards improved California state legislation on teen health rights for foster youth. Jo hopes to gain youth development skills that will allow her to facilitate their growth as others have done for her.
