Joy Gadani

Program Officer, Gender and Social Justice, Africa Media Development Foundation (AMDF) | Nigeria

Joy Gadani is a trained journalist, entrepreneur, and development worker. As the program officer of gender and social justice for the Africa Media Development Foundation (AMDF), she is currently working with the team on a project to prevent gender-based violence in Kaduna State Northwest Nigeria. She serves as a member of the Kaduna State Technical Working Group on social protection and is a Kaduna State Youth Advocate for Gender Justice.

Joy is passionate about human development and girls’ education, with a vision to create a society where boys and girls from underserved communities are able to access quality education and entrepreneurial skills for a healthier and more productive life.

She holds a diploma in entrepreneurship, innovation, and financing and is awaiting a postgraduate diploma in education. Joy is a current ONE Champion campaigning to end extreme poverty and preventable disease so that everyone, everywhere can lead a life of dignity and opportunity.
