Joyce Nomagugu Msomi

Founder and Project Manager, Ukukhanya Kwesizwe Community Development

Joyce is a community activist who is dedicated and passionate about protecting women and children from gender-based violence. She has championed initiatives supporting women, youth, and children, and aimed at alleviating poverty and building up the economy within KwaMashu by conducting business support mentorship.

Joyce has experience facilitating HIV and AIDS education in senior primary and high schools and has run other community development programs, including skills development, school readiness, job placement, and business mentorship programs, in order to positively impact the lives of disadvantaged community members of KwaMashu Townships.

Joyce holds a Diploma in Marketing from Durban University of Technology, a Diploma in Office Administration from Damelin, and a Diploma in Christian Theology from Christian Impact University.

Her motto in life is, “I cannot change everybody’s life but at least I can change one person’s life in this world.”
