Julius Thibodeaux-Hasan

Co-Founder and Executive Director, Movement 4 Life/Beautiful Evolutions

Julius is a gun violence reduction expert and an accomplished author and public speaker. He is an advocate for investing in young women directly and vicariously impacted by trauma. As a father of three young African-American women who grew up without him due to serving 23 years in prison, Julius knows firsthand what abandonment issues and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) are and how they can show up in individuals’ adult lives. Access to individual and family therapy are important for holistic healing. Equal employment opportunities and equitable pay are also crucial for leveling the playing field and ending longstanding institutions of gender bias and systemic racism. Julius is the Imam of Masjid As-Sabur and serves on the board for CAIR in Sacramento.
