Founder and Operations Manager, Khethi’s Foundation

Khethiwe Nene is a gender-based violence activist and chartered accountant-in-training committed to social impact and survivor-centered advocacy. During South Africa’s 2020 lockdown, she launched #helpinggbvsurvivors – a campaign that evolved into Khethi’s Foundation, a youth-led nonprofit working on GBV prevention, detection, and recovery. Under her leadership, the foundation has partnered with the Kolisi Foundation and received support from Standard Bank, CEF, and SAICA. Khethiwe has been recognized as a News24 30 Young Mandela of the Future (2024) and a SAICA Trainee Trailblazer, among other honors, for her passionate, holistic approach to ending GBV.
