Khumbo is a Project Officer for the Nkhotakota AIDS Support Organization (NASO). She manages a gender transformation project that promotes the social, cultural and economic development of adolescent girls and young women living in fishing communities along Lake Malawi. Khumbo is a teacher by profession and holds a teaching certificate from Kasonga Teachers Training College. Khumbo also has several certificates in HIV testing and counseling, management and leadership training from the Malawi Institute of Management.
