Lalita Ameta

State Coordinator – Education (SHWP), Centre for Community Economics and Development Consultants Society

Lalita Ameta is a development professional with over 18 years of experience advancing adolescent health, nutrition, life skills education, women’s empowerment, and gender equity. She currently works with the Centre for Community Economics and Development Consultants Society (CECOEDECON) under a UNFPA-supported technical assistance project, providing planning, advocacy, coordination, and implementation support to RSCERT and the National Health Mission in Rajasthan. Through her work, Lalita helps ensure that adolescents – especially girls – receive age-appropriate life skills education in schools and communities, empowering them to make informed decisions and lead with confidence.

With a master’s in social work, Lalita has built strong partnerships with key government departments, including Health & Family Welfare, Education, Tribal Affairs, and Social Justice. She is passionate about strengthening advocacy for gender equity through initiatives like Rise Up Together’s program, amplifying girls’ voices and engaging boys as allies to foster inclusive, equitable communities.
