Lawrence is the Director of Mapanga Community Development Organization, a local organization in Thyolo District that focuses on environmental conservation and climate change, agriculture and food security, HIV/AIDS, and gender and human rights for youth, women, the elderly and people with disabilities. He has a degree in community development and a number of certificates related to environmental issues. He was also awarded the Inspiration Lives in Africa Award. He is dedicated to improving the rights of adolescent girls and helping to create a world where gender equity is a reality.
