Lía is committed to developing technological skills among girls and adolescents. Lia and her organization, offer girls the opportunity to contribute to society with their own technology tools. Her organization is part of an international movement that aims to reduce the gender gap that exists in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) areas through a comprehensive program in which girls and adolescents take part in developing technologies to solve social issues. Lía is an engineer with a master’s in electronics and has a background in human rights, gender perspective, management, education, and technological innovation in San Luis Potosí.
