Lizeth Montejano Torres

Lizeth Montejano Torres holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Human Rights from the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí. Since 2015, she has provided psychological care to children and youth, with a focus on rights-based and psychosocial support. Since 2019, she has conducted research within civil society organizations on social issues affecting vulnerable populations, particularly violence, access to justice, and human rights. At the institutional level, she collaborated with the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), contributing to data collection and systematization related to Justice Centers for Women and violence against children and adolescents.

She recently coordinated the prison system component of the 2025 Transparency Indices on Public Security, Law Enforcement, and Penitentiary Institutions. Her work focuses on children’s and youth rights, access to justice, social reintegration, the prison system, institutional transparency, and public policy monitoring. Lizeth currently serves as an ally of SORORAL Red de Abogadas, where she promotes projects aimed at strengthening public policies and defending human rights.
