Africa Program Manager

Lwazi oversees Rise Up Together’s programming in Africa, focusing on leader recruitment, selection, and participation in Leadership and Advocacy Accelerators and workshops across the region. 

A proud South African, Lwazi began her career in HIV prevention and support, working with rural communities in KwaZulu-Natal. Her engagement with women impacted by the HIV epidemic ignited her passion for community work and addressing social challenges in health and gender. 

Holding a master’s degree in sociology, Lwazi has dedicated her career to advancing health access and rights for women and girls. She has partnered with local governments, donors, and civil society organizations to implement programs that address the challenges faced by women and vulnerable communities. 

Lwazi is deeply committed to creating a brighter future for all, with a particular focus on empowering young girls and women globally.
