Nueva Luna (New Moon)

Marcela is the President of Nueva Luna. She is a leader and an activist committed to the rehabilitation of incarcerated women. Through an autobiographical writing workshop in San Luis Potosi she fosters healthy and safe spaces for women to share their lives, dreams, and hopes for the future, while empowering them to stand up for their rights. Marcela has a bachelor’s degree in communication science and public health.
