For over a decade, Mariana has advocated for the recognition of unpaid care work for children and older adults with disabilities and chronic diseases.. As the Founder and Presidentof her organization, she has built alliances with academic institutions to advance public health education and established an educational network with a focus on gender and human rights, particularly supporting women. 

A clinical psychologist with nearly 20 years of experience, Mariana’s work provides caregivers with specialized medical, psychological, and legal support. Her leadership has earned local, corporate and governmental recognition, including awards such as “Distinción a la Calidad Humana 2022,” “Potosina of the Year 2023,” and the “Municipal Human Rights Award 2023.” She was also highlighted as an exemplary leader by “Expresión San Luis” in 2021 and has been celebrated as one of the most influential women in San Luis Potosí in both digital and print media.
