Marta Tsehay

Marta is a passionate advocate for sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) globally. She manages the SRHR training, community outreach program, life skills, and reproductive health and HIV/AIDS prevention messages of YWCA’s people with disabilities and youth leadership program. Marta was recently selected as a MILEAD fellow, a selection of Africa’s most outstanding emerging women leaders by the Moremi Initiative. Her long-term goals include a PhD in Social Work.

This project increases reproductive health information and service utilization of Addis Ababa University. It sends 3,000 monthly text messages to 3,000 students, and increases family planning adherence and utilization by providing 200 reminder texts to 100 students while connecting them to health services.
