In June of 2023, global nonprofit Rise Up held its second Leadership and Advocacy Accelerator training in California with a group of 23 visionary local leaders representing a diverse array of experiences, identities, and career paths. Following the week-long intensive training, Rise Up Leaders in California are eligible for competitive grant funding from Rise Up to support their gender equity advocacy work through new laws, policies, and programs in California.
