Lead & Co-Founder, CareForAll
Mia is the Co-Founder & Executive Director of CareForAll, a U.S. social movement that will win health insurance we can all count on. Previously, she worked as a Global Health Corps Fellow with the Clinton Health Access Initiative, strengthening and providing health policy technical assistance for five years in Malawi and Liberia. Before that, she worked in Health in All Policies in city government in San Francisco, as a San Francisco Fellow. Mia’s 30-year-old, second-generation Chinese-American cis woman self was formed through pivotal life stages in Chicago, Macao, North Carolina, and Malawi. Her two core values are impact and connection, and she has held the roles of chronically ill patient, caregiver, project manager, and now, founder. Mia holds a BSPH in health policy and management from the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health.
