Mónica is a defender of sexual and reproductive rights for girls, adolescents, and women. As co-director of Lúminas Centro de Derechos Humanos she coordinates various activities promoting women’s human rights. Mónica is also an educator specializing in children’s rights and sexual education from a feminist perspective. She utilizes popular education and community psychology to teach menstrual health. Mónica has a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and a master’s degree in social anthropology.
