Paralegal Officer for the Love Not Hate Programme, OUT LGBT Well-Being

Moude works to reduce the rate of hate crimes based on sexual orientation and gender identity and expression in South Africa. Moude assists LGBTIQA+ victims of human rights violations by providing advice and support on available legal remedies and the formation of safe spaces for LBQ women.

Moude’s passion lies in advocating for the promotion and protection of the rights of LGBTIQA+ persons and access to fundamental rights. As part of the community, Moude draws her passion from her own personal experiences and the challenges she faced in her journey to self-acceptance and self-empowerment.

Moude is a final year bachelor’s in law student at the University of South Africa and is currently under the mentorship of Lawyers for Human Rights. She has eight years of experience working in LGBTIQA+ programs including research, human sexuality sensitization, psychosocial support, hate crime prevention, and other programs related to access to discrimination-free basic services.
